Bunko For Breast Cancer

It’s Bunko for Breast Cancer time again!

 

The annual fundraiser for Carson Tahoe Hospital’s Cancer Resource Center occurs on October 11, co-sponsored by GE Measurement & Control from GE Energy and the Carson Valley Inn. This is the eleventh year this fundraiser has occurred, raising over $200,000 in the fight against cancer. This year’s theme is “Superhero’s”.

 

There are several ways to participate or contribute:

 

Register to play!

Bunko is an exciting game that is easy to learn! Group and single player registration is offered. New this year, payments can be accepted online. Contact Corky Goldade for more information on this.

 

Buy 50/50 raffle tickets!

Tickets are $2 each or 6 for $10. Winner of the raffle wins half the pot of money. Contact Kathy Johnson for more information.

 

Donate cash or silent auction item!

Bunko for Breast Cancer utilizes two means to raise money.  One is a silent auction held during the evening (if you can call Bunko silent!) and the other is a Corporate sponsorship of a game table(s), which spotlights and advertises your company on a table throughout the evening.  This is where we need your help.  Please consider donating an item or service to be auctioned during the evening or sponsoring a table.  In exchange for your donation, we will advertise your business throughout the evening, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone in our area.  All proceeds from the tables and the auction will go directly to Carson-Tahoe Hospital Cancer Services. Last year, over $12,000 was raised for the benefit of women (& men) in Northern Nevada who are living with breast cancer. Know someone who owns a business who would like to get involved? Volunteer to help!

Volunteers are needed the night of the event to help with set-up and logistics. Contact Sheela Bilderback to sign up.
